In 1969, two young adventurers, Brian and Jeremy, opened what would eventually become a nightlife destination for locals: The Titty Hut. Brian, an accomplished mountain biker, and Jeremy, a lifelong surfer, had little experience in running a bar or any kind of business but possessed what they described as a very specific vision. Their idea was simple: create a place where beautiful women, cold drinks, live music, and the general pursuit of having a really good time could exist under one roof.
What began as a modest bar quickly became a phenomenon. By the mid-1970s, the Titty Hut had developed a reputation as Hawaii's answer to Studio 54 a somewhat glamorous, mostly anything-goes gathering place for celebrities, surfers, musicians, and people who had somehow convinced the bouncer they knew somebody.
The club became legendary for its late-night, elaborate theme parties, and famously selective door policy. For decades, locals simply referred to it as the Hut. As Brian would later say, We weren't trying to make history. We were just trying to keep the bar open.

OUR LOCATION: We are right on the sand at Mile Marker 14, just past the old surf shop. Look for the torch lights and the hand-painted wooden arrow sign pointing toward the trees. If you reach the rocky cliffs, you've gone too far down the beach!

Membership is by introduction only and always has been. There is no
application, no fee, and no list. If you are the sort of person who
belongs in the Hut, somebody will tell you so. Members receive a
hand-carved wooden token, which is not transferable and which we
will absolutely notice you borrowed from a friend.
🎵 MUSIC FOR GOOD TIMES 🎵

Live ukulele every Friday at sunset. Steel guitar Saturdays. Sunday
is whatever the band feels like, which has occasionally been silence.
The jukebox has not been reloaded since 1981 and we consider that a
feature rather than a fault.
